Electrical Health Check
Whether you have just bought your first Aircooled VW or your 20th, the integrity and safety of an old electrical system can be a worry. Electrical Bug's offer an Electrical Health Check service to help settle any concerns you might have.
What you can expect.......
Electrical Bug's will travel to your address and carryout a full visual inspection and basic tests of all the electrical wiring, connections and components on your vehicle. We will spend time with you once our checks are complete and talk through and explain what we have found and if we feel additional work is required on your vehicle. Once we are back at the office a full written report will be sent to you for your history file.
Technical Upskilling, Support and Coaching
Want to understand more about your Aircooled vehicles electrics?
Would you like to do your own basic repairs and upgrades?
Part way through a job on your own Aircooled vehicle and would just like a second opinion/guidance?
What we offer......
Electrical Bug's offer Technical Support and Coaching both Face to Face with you at your address or remotely via video calling from our office.
Technical Support
We will either travel to you or video call you from our office, we will support you with any questions you may have whilst you are doing the job yourself.
Technical Coaching
We will establish your current knowledge, understanding and experience of fundamental electrics along with what it is you want to get from our Coaching service on a video call prior to any actual Coaching taking place. This means each session is bespoke to your needs and ability and will also highlight if Face to Face or remote Coaching will work best for you.
Fault Diagnosis
Electrical Bug's offer 2 options when it comes to electrical fault diagnosis, on-site and remote.
On-site
Electrical Bug's will travel to your address and carryout the required electrical diagnosis on your Aircooled vehicle. Diagnosis start at 1 hours labour minimum and no additional time will be charged without your permission first. Once your fault has been diagnosed a repair method will be explained including costs you will incur if you are happy for us to continue.
Remote
Electrical Bug's will arrange a time for a video call with you, you will need access to your vehicle. We will talk through the fault with you and ask you to try different functions on your vehicle or show us certain items using your video camera. Remote diagnosis start at 1 hours labour minimum and no additional time will be charged without your permission first. If we have been able to diagnose your fault remotely a repair method will be explained including costs you will incur if you are happy for us to continue. If our remote diagnosis call has not been successful in locating your fault we will talk with you about the next steps and what we feel will be the best way to move forward for you.
Parts Support
A quality restoration is underpinned by quality parts. New old stock (NOS) is obviously preferable but aftermarket and 3rd party parts can also be great. Contact us today for advice on parts (and which aftermarket parts we would avoid or use).
